Work you'll do

The AI & Data Architecture Specialist Leader will provide strategic support, direction, and oversight, and drive the complete integration of Data Science, Data Analytics, and intelligence operations. They will be responsible for collaborating with executive level clients and stakeholders on business needs, creating strategic deliverables including business process assessments, strategic plans, visioning sessions etc. They will also be responsible for leading and driving client sessions and meetings, further developing these relationships, and leading high-priority business development efforts. They will lead internal AI & data engineering teams and work closely with leading industry partners, while also working directly with our federal clients to define strategy, drive technical development, and create the next generation of AI tools and services.

In addition, the AI & Data Architecture Specialist Leader will:

  • Drive high-impact business opportunities as an AI & Data leader and accelerate the adoption of novel AI capabilities within GPS.
  • Guide federal clients in AI & Data Management strategy and development, including understanding agency needs, performing exploratory data analysis, building and validating models, and deploying models into both on-prem and cloud environments, operating with high autonomy in a highly collaborative teaming environment.
  • Develop prototypes in response to capability development, business development, and government requests (RFPs/RFIs) to lead the charge in establishing Deloitte as a thought leader in the AI Space.
  • Drive data modernization efforts through cloud including creating new data lakes and warehouses
  • Maintain and uphold emerging technology fluency and best practices on new innovations, methodologies, technologies, industry trends, and open-source packages.
  • Work cross-functionally with other scientists & data engineers, federal account managers and GPS business leadership to lead technical aspects of project delivery, engage with clients, and help to navigate policy, societal and political dimensions of the project upon which they are deployed.

The GPS AI & Data (AI&D) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or business-related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Minimum Active Secret Security Clearance
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience in data analytics and engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Strategy, Business Process Analysis, and/or data operations

Preferred:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or business-related field
  • Deep, existing client relationships within the Civil Government space
  • 10+ years of prior professional services or government consulting experience
  • Familiarity with Agile project management principles
  • Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies
