Job Summary:
Team Phantasm is a specialized team within MS Collections focused on resolving negative receipts. Negative receipts occur when an insurance payer incorrectly takes back overpayments made to us. The Negative Receipt Specialist will play a vital role in researching claims, conducting payer outreach, and performing internal actions to resolve claims. We strive to recollect DaVita issued refund checks and understand payer behavior as it relates to Provider Level Adjustments and the GL1217. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on both active and void claims.

Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Research & Resolution: Investigate negative receipt issues, analyzing claims to identify the cause of overpayments and recollecting payments or correcting posting errors. Contact insurance payers to recover overpayments by facilitating the return of refund checks to DaVita or obtain missing payment details previously sent by the payer. Perform internal actions, such as cash corrections, research cash moves, and post payer exceptions from the GL1217.
- Manage Active & Void Claims: Handle both active claims and void claims, ensuring they are accurately researched and resolved.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with teammates and partner with other departments to identify and resolve claim issues related to posting errors and overpayment recoveries.
- Project Reporting: Identify payer trends and compile monthly POD AR Reviews to showcase top payer issues, actions being taken, and any questions or roadblocks encountered. Provide detailed reports to leadership to highlight key wins and challenges.

Salary/ Wage Range
$19.00 - $28.00 / hour
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
