GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
A Manager, Epic Security, Users, and Provisioning is responsible for the high-level success of one or more teams providing implementation and production support for nephrology practices using the Epic CKD and related products. This includes product, project, resource, and time management as well as coaching, training, organizing, planning, and budgeting. This individual will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper usage and acceptance of the CKD system. This role specifically will oversee four team members who support the user, security, and provisioning process. This role includes responsibility over all aspects of the process by which new users are added to Epic.

General Information about the Epic CKD Team:
DaVita Physicians Solutions has established a partnership with Epic, the market leader in Electronic Health Records (EHRs), with the goal of maximizing physician satisfaction and improving the quality outcomes of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients.
The tools and support the team delivers are used by nephrology practices to manage CKD patient populations in promoting better outcomes and interoperability, while improving physician experience and aiding in revenue cycle practice management.
DaVita Physician Solutions CKD EHR by Epic, is offered to nephrology practices that are independently owned and operated. Many of these practices are smaller than typical Epic customers and value independence while leveraging the best available industry technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Team leadership
- Direct management of team including security and hardware analysts and learning management support staff
- Training, mentorship, and coaching
- Monitor ServiceNow for incidents and requests assigned to team
- Oversight of team-owned work queue and error queues
- Some on-call and go-live responsibilities for urgent issues
- Provide escalation support for team members working on new implementations
- Engage with third parties involved with user provisioning process
- Oversee Epic upgrades and releases for Users, Security, and Provisioning area
- Work in Nova, Orion, Asana, and other tools to ensure build completion
- Work with end users and SMEs to understand enhancement and optimization requests
- Support enhancements related to security, users, and provisioning
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of technical experience in Epic security including senior-level system build
- Epic build certified in at least one, ideally multiple Epic applications
- Experience working in multiple large and complex healthcare organizations
- Experience directly or indirectly leading small to mid-sized teams
- Excels at defining and creating new processes
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and experience in the following areas:

- Active Directory account creation
- Nephrology and kidney care
- Project management
- Hardware set-up processes
- Prior management and leadership experience

TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS
Travel: Up to 25% for visits to customer practices, team meetings, conferences, and training
Nights/Weekends: Occasional nights and weekend work needed during onsite trips and to support urgent issues
Language Skills
Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

Work Environment
Level III - Moderate noise (e.g., business office with computers or printers, light traffic). Visual Requirements
Vision adequate to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of the position. May be required to demonstrate the ability to differentiate colors on a test strip.
Physical Demand
Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following activities:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 5 lbs to a max of 50 lbs unassisted and able to stand, sit stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions.
- Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment and ability to use computer keyboard and peripherals.
