- Coverage for Eastern Maine Medical Center and St Joseph (Bangor)
- Schedule: 4 days per week and working every other Saturday. Monthly schedule provided in advance.

Some details about this position:
- No Dialysis experience is required.
- Training may take place in a facility or a training facility other than your assigned home facility
- Potential to float to various facilities during and after your training
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Build meaningful and long term relationships with patients and their family in an intimate outpatient setting.

- Duties. Receives patient into treatment/exam area and performs patient data collection; documents on DaVita approved flow sheets. Obtains blood samples per hospital policy and procedure and appropriately sends them to the lab. Under guidance of nurse sets up and monitors dialysis machines and reverse osmosis ("RO") water system for correct functioning, responds to visual and audible alarms and makes appropriate adjustments before, during and after the dialysis treatment, performs safety checks as directed by the registered nurse. Dismantles, cleans and disinfects dialysis machines and equipment in accordance to DaVita procedures; performs appropriate end of therapy terminal cleaning and disinfection of the dialysis equipment with guidance of RN and/or preceptor.
- Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require unique treatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- You will work with your head, heart and hands each day in a fast paced environment.

- Current CPR certification required
- IV certification required if required by state regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation
- Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required)
- This position also requires successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test, accommodation may be provided.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.
