This divisional field position manages the successful delivery of all modality clinical and systems skills training. Position also provides support to Clinical Services as needed. This position identifies areas for program enhancements and new program development to ensure all modality clinical training and education needs are met in accordance with DaVita Healthcare Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, OSHA, CMS, HIPAA, AAMI, federal, state and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for clinical instruction to direct patient care teammates during the initial clinical training program in all aspects of the delivery of a safe and adequate dialysis treatment in accordance with DaVita Healthcare Policy and Procedures

  • Partner with Manager of Clinical Services, and Preceptors to provide hands-on training
  • Support Facility Administrator and Preceptor with Rise training program
  • Provide follow-up training as needed for all direct patient care teammates
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Education Department, Facility Administrators, ROD and Clinical Services regarding progress and training needs of clinical teammates
  • Development of training programs and training materials as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain current knowledge of all modalities and ensure that facility training and education needs are met in accordance with DaVita's policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as OSHA, CMS, AAMI, HIPAA, federal, state, and local regulations by providing continuing education and in-services and materials to teammates to improve knowledge base and to meet regulatory and safety requirements on an as needed basis
  • Assist facility CQI team members in using resources and strengths within their region to solve quality improvement challenges
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
  • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
  • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
• Travel required: up to 75% within assigned division

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.
  • A.D.N degree from accredited school of nursing required; B.S.N preferred
  • RN license in state of employment required
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in dialysis delivery and the treatment of renal disease required
    • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple dialysis delivery systems required
  • Valid driver's license in state of employment and positive driving record sufficient to meet insurance requirements of company required
  • Experience in teaching the adult learner preferred with demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to present material to different learning styles and levels of base knowledge
  • CPR Instructor certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of role
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency required in MS Word and Outlook required; basic proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required; proficiency in all required computer systems of DaVita including but not limited to SNAPPY, FALCON, FHR, CWOW etc. within 90 days of hire required
