Position Summary:
The Group Biomedical Director is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing all biomedical operations across 300+ dialysis clinics in the southern U.S. This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and proactive maintenance of life-saving dialysis equipment and systems. The director will lead a team of Biomed Managers and Technicians, driving performance, standardization, and alignment with clinical and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Biomed Managers and Technicians across the region.
- Ensure all dialysis equipment and water systems meet or exceed safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, AAMI, CMS).
- Partner with clinical, operations, and facilities leaders to support patient care and minimize equipment-related downtime.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance and capital planning strategies across 300+ sites.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring consistent execution of biomed processes and timely issue resolution.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and timely support.
- Lead biomed readiness for new clinic openings, relocations, and major renovations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for all regional biomed issues.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, healthcare technology, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in biomedical operations, preferably within dialysis or healthcare.
- In-depth knowledge of dialysis equipment, water systems, and regulatory requirements (AAMI, CMS).
- Proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across TX, LA, MS, and AL.
- CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with CMMS systems and data-driven performance management.
- Previous multi-site or regional leadership in a healthcare environment.
