General Ledger Oracle Super User Hybrid Role

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position provides technical application software support to General Accounting staff including application support for Multi-ledger Oracle R12 General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Project Accounting (PA), Property Management (PN), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Financial Reporting (FSG). Position creates and updates databases, providing reports as needed.

  • Set up and maintain accounts within application structure (General Ledger accounts, sub-accounts, legal entity, locations, etc.), application controls (system access, user responsibility levels, valid edit rules), and posting and interface controls
  • Work with IT, Accounts Payable, and other departments, and with Oracle support teammates to identify, test, and implement application enhancements and modifications
  • Develop and update Access databases and/or Oracle APEX database; create Excel macros as needed
  • Troubleshoot system malfunctions and/or contact Oracle vendor to resolve issues
  • Develop and modify FSG reports
  • Provide Oracle training for new teammates and follow-up training as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
    • Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
    • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and professional experience in these areas substituted on a year-by-year basis required
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in information technology and accounting/finance required
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required; advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Access required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical requirements can vary. These must be reviewed with management. However, in general, the position requires the following physical activities:
  • Ability to lift minimum of 2 pounds to a maximum of 15 pounds unassisted; able to sit for extended periods of time with some standing, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching; moderate range of body motions.
  • Ability to hear and interact by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to use computer and all peripherals for extended periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Level III - Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic) No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.

Salary/ Wage Range
$62,200.00 - $91,300.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
