As the Director, Special Projects, you will lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives aligned with DaVita's strategic priorities across our DaVita Hospital Services and SNF Dialysis teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management and operational expertise to drive complex initiatives from concept to execution. You will collaborate with senior leadership to advance key business objectives, optimize processes, and implement transformational initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while driving operational efficiencies. Your ability to manage cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and execute strategic initiatives will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee high-priority projects that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic transformation.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute key initiatives.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and decision support for strategic initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, business data, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive change management efforts to support organizational adoption of new processes and initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
- Identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks, proactively addressing challenges to ensure project success.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and agility within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, business strategy, operations, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) and tools such as Excel, Onenote, Powerpoint, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
