Clinical Registered Dietitian Overview:

  • Dialysis Experience Not Required - Being Passionate to Learn is!
  • Per Diem, Part Time (maximum weekly hours of 24)
  • 16 hours per week (Two Days a Week split into 8-hour shifts)
  • Schedule and Shifts are flexible based on facility/patient needs
  • Patient Census can fluctuate from the 40's to the 70's
In the role of a Registered (Clinical) Dietitian, you will meet with patients at our dialysis outpatient clinic and be a vital member of each patient's core care team.
  • Analyze lab work results and educate patients and their families on what to eat to live better lives.
  • Meet with dialysis patients and help them understand that what they eat directly affects their lab levels.
  • Influence and lead patients to live better lives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
  • State licensure is required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
  • Minimum of 12 months professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, possibly for multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
  • After hire and training, successful completion of the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.
  • Intermediate computer skills required as well as functional proficiency with DaVita specific applications within 60 days.
