About the Department

DaVita's well-regarded law department counsels all businesses of the Company and provides legal support for all transactions. The attorneys are viewed as strategic business partners and work closely with each other and with senior management on a daily basis.

The DaVita in-house team is known as the "Justice League of Davita or the JLD." The Justice League is comprised of over 250 attorneys, paralegals, and professionals. This team, JLD Operations, supports the Justice League's operations through finance, technology and analytics / reporting.

Job Summary

Analyst will support the legal department's operation activities related to monthly reporting, data analytics, process improvement, system implementation, presentation development and ad hoc projects.

Specific Job Functions:
  • Perform a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring data analyses/reporting related to operations of legal department and risk management.
  • Consult with different in-house legal lanes to improve their reporting processes and construct metrics for performance tracking.
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc presentation PowerPoint decks.
  • Support Anaplan online reporting platform including regular monthly maintenance and new model build out.
  • Act as a liaison between Legal Operations and IT.
  • Administration and application development for Enterprise Legal Management system in Onit.
  • Special projects at the direction of Sr. Legal Operations Manager.
  • Proactively suggests new ideas/analyses to improve processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Entry level position
  • Bachelor's degree; Computer Programing/Mathematics/Computer Science background preferred
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Coding skill is essential to facilitate the learning of various ETL tools we use. For Example: SnapLogic, Tableau, Anaplan, Python, Power Query.
  • Coding skill is also essential to develop and maintain applications in the Onit Platform.
  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work for self and others to deliver on commitments and achieve results.
  • Quick learner and self-starter with ability to drive independent problem solving, comfortable with a constantly evolving environment.

• Minimum of three (3) years' healthcare reimbursement experience preferred ; experience with admissions, billing, and collections preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors in multiple states preferred
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required
