This role will drive the design, execution, and continuous improvement of the Internal Audit risk assessment and audit process to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and effective risk management practices. The incumbent will work closely with leadership to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services to improve the organization's operations. This role will also work closely with executive leadership and the Audit Committee to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity throughout the organization.Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an agile and rolling risk-based internal audit plan aligned to top risks, organizational objectives, and industry standards.
  • Provide strategic direction for the risk-based audit function while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and oversee a high-performing team of cross-functional leaders to execute the risk-based audit portfolio and ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships at multiple levels of the organization, including managing relationships with leaders from across the company, executive leadership, the Audit Committee, and external regulatory agencies
  • Ability to advise on risk exposure, control effectiveness and areas of opportunity for continuous improvement.
  • Report significant audit findings and progress on management corrective action plans to senior management and the Audit Committee.
  • Preferred location - Woonsocket, RI or Hartford, CT; Open to remote and travel
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ yrs of progressive experience in audit, finance, accounting, IT, including leadership roles required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including senior management, the Audit Committee, and external regulators.
  • Proven expertise in risk-based audit methodologies and frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading high-performing teams, while fostering an inclusive, equitable and collaborative work environment
  • Relevant certification required (CPA-CIA-CISA)
  • Travel per business demands
Preferred Qualifications
  • Big-Four experience or equivalent internal audit experience
  • Experience with audits in a healthcare organization
  • Experience with technology audits
  • Lean Six Sigma designation

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or Information Systems is requiredThe typical pay range for this role is:

$250,000.00 - $330,000.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
