And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Role SummaryThe Training Designer role is responsible for collaboratively developing and delivering training within the Coram Revenue Cycle organization.This role is primarily focused on development of curricula, lesson plans, recorded materials, assessments, and a content library (>75%) with a secondary focus on training delivery (Individuals filling this role are tasked with constructing asynchronous web-based training modules for delivery via a curated SharePoint site or the CVS Health Learning Management System (LearningHub) as well as providing instruction during synchronous live sessions.This role synthesizes procedural knowledge, critical thinking skills, and cross-organizational coordination to prepare role-based training materials for production (e.g., billing, cash posting, patient resolution, infusion therapy, enteral therapy, Epic, ACIS).Role RationaleTraining Designers are responsible for the development and delivery of training materials that orient new hires and current staff to Coram Revenue Cycle goals and functions.This role complements the Training Analyst and Sr. Training Analyst roles by distributing the team's instructional design workload and streamlining its collective productivity.Training Designers report directly to the Training Manager. Together, they facilitate completion of projects as delegated by either the Training Manager or the Sr. Training Analyst. They also collaborate to implement performance and productivity metrics that measure and demonstrate aptitude among trainees as well as engage in data-driven decision-making to inform and revise the organization's strategic learning and development roadmap.Key Functions

  • Instructional Design (>75%)
    • Coordinate with the Training Manager, Sr. Training Analyst, and other Training Designers to create instructional materials that serve the full Coram Revenue Cycle organization (e.g., curricula, lessons, assessments, web-based modules, content library).
    • Utilize tools such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia to develop and revise instructional materials for synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid training.
    • Update the Training Roadmap to ensure our long-term strategy supports the learning needs of Revenue Cycle teams.
    • Support fellow Training Designers in partnering with Revenue Cycle leaders, the Business Process team, and subject matter experts to conduct gap and needs analyses.
    • Provide editorial feedback on curricular enhancements to ensure coursework and supporting materials remain accurate and reflect current processes and priorities.
    • Maintain centralized repositories (SharePoint and Learning Hub) for training materials and courses accessible to all Revenue Cycle employees.
    • Support fellow Training Designers in managing training tickets and other requests, including prioritization across tickets and against other training and curriculum responsibilities.

  • As needed, facilitate live training sessions with new hires and current colleagues to deliver revised curricula and lead group/cohort discussion.
  • Sit in on peer Training Designer sessions to better understand the training team vision for synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid training delivery.
  • Record and edit instructional videos that support live, hybrid, and fully self-guided/asynchronous training.
  • Coordinate with the Training Manager and Sr. Training Analyst to provide train-the-trainer guidance and/or professional development.
  • Partner with the Training Manager, Sr. Training Analyst, and other Training Designers to evaluate and react to training deficits emergent from each new hire cohort.
  • Community Growth (as appropriate) :
    • Engage in professional development opportunities with the Revenue Cycle training team and broader CVS Health Learning and Development community.
    • Support fellow Training Designers to ensure their preparation to train new and current colleagues via onboarding and refresher courses.
    • Contribute to a supportive work environment through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example, and goal setting.
    • Encourage creativity, open dialogue on work issues, and professionalism.
  • The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
    • Strong knowledge of education concepts such as adult learning, virtual teaching, online classroom management, and learner assessment/evaluation
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design practices such as ADDIE and Scrum
    • Ability to influence key stakeholders at various organizational levels
    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership skills and commitment to a collaborative, team-driven approach
    • Strong relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to develop long-term partnerships with key personnel to understand and respond to their teams' training needs
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent instructional design projects
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum one year of experience in training, learning and development, and/or instruction in K-12, higher education, governmental, nonprofit, and/or corporate environments
    • Minimum one year of instructional design experience (e.g., curriculum design, lesson planning)
    • Experience with evaluation methods, learning modalities, and contemporary learning theories
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or greater in Education or relevant related field (including Healthcare and Business)
    • Training industry certifications, such as Certified Professional in Talent Development or Epic Principal Trainer
    • Familiarity with instructional design and training technologies such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and/or their equivalents
    • Demonstrated ability to work with a fully virtual, geographically dispersed team
    • Experience supporting Revenue Cycle or related finance operations
    • Practical knowledge of healthcare industry, particularly home infusion and enteral nutrition therapy

    The typical pay range for this role is:$18.50 - $31.72This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
