Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead for our Observability Solutions & Automation Engineering team. This role is essential for meeting the increasing demand for scalable, rapid observability solutions across the organization. As the technical lead, you will be the go-to expert, working closely with the lead director to design and rapidly implement scalable solutions for diverse observability use cases. Your hands-on coding expertise in Python, proficiency with containers, Kubernetes, APIs, data, GitHub, modern DevOps practices, and an SRE mindset will be crucial. You will build automation frameworks and integrate monitoring tools like the Grafana stack, AppDynamics, and ClickHouse, while also handling escalations and joining project meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable observability solutions for diverse use cases across the organization.
- Lead the development of automation frameworks and integrate monitoring tools such as the Grafana stack, AppDynamics, and ClickHouse.
- Provide hands-on coding expertise in Python to develop and maintain observability solutions.
- Utilize containers and Kubernetes for deploying and managing observability solutions.
- Leverage APIs and data management skills to enhance observability capabilities.
- Manage source code and version control using GitHub, ensuring best practices in version control, code sharing, branching, and collaboration.
- Apply modern DevOps practices and an SRE mindset to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of observability solutions.
- Handle escalations and provide expert guidance to resolve complex issues related to observability and automation.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical oversight and contributing to the successful delivery of observability solutions.
- Document processes and solutions, providing clear guidelines and support for IT operations and development teams.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and practices in observability and automation engineering, continuously seeking ways to improve operations and contribute to innovation within the team.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in observability solutions and automation engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python for developing and maintaining observability solutions.
- Expertise in containers and Kubernetes for deploying and managing observability solutions.
- Proficiency in APIs and data management for enhancing observability capabilities.
- Strong experience with GitHub for source code management, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
- Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices and an SRE mindset.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as the Grafana stack, AppDynamics, and ClickHouse.
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $213,210.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
