The Senior Manager, Store in Store Formats & Strategic Partnerships, reporting to Lead Director- Healthcare Delivery Formats and Clinical Expansion, partners with various SMEs to support key strategic relationships with internal and external partners, advising and frequently leading the charge to operationalize strategies and tactics that strengthen business performance in all areas within these formats. Success in this role requires consistent and influential engagement with cross-functional leaders (including Senior-level leaders and above) to drive action across key areas of focus.As the Senior Manager of Store in Store Formats and Strategic Relationships, you will support a portfolio of existing and new retail store formats and be responsible for implementing and monitoring financially viable models that achieve our strategic vision while creating an elevated experience for consumers and colleagues. This will include, but not be limited to, ~50 locations expansion into coming year and an existing portfolio of >1800 locations nationwide. To achieve this, you will use your leadership skills to build strong relationships with partners in multiple business units including Store Operations, Retail Growth, Real Estate, Human Resources, Finance, Merchandising, Construction and design, influence, and implement strategies that positively impact the Company. You will engage directly with external partners from Target, Schnucks, Quest Diagnostics, among others, within the store in store portfolio. You will be a primary connection point for strategies within these formats representing central retail store operations. You will support field leaders by providing enriching and engaging transformations that propel new ways of working and engaging with our consumers. You will oversee a team of 1+ colleagues that are dedicated to the above strategy and portfolio, including day-to-day support.Responsibilities:Strategic Planning (30%):

  • Establishing a clear, prioritized activity roadmap that successfully delivers the company's ambitions, including changes in products, policies and/or processes across our ecosystem with appropriate collaboration across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in working with data to develop measures and metrics that yield actionable insights to business owners, and lead / conduct / support first-level analyses to identify underlying drivers of new trends.
  • Ability to drive efficient and effective planning processes by implementing and upholding a strong project management discipline across boundaries.

  • Champions innovation by bringing ideas to own Director and VP as well as the broader Retail Store Operations Leadership Team in an agile way, while balancing growth against financial risk and incremental cost to the organization

  • Leverages data, insights, and analytics to influence stakeholders and makes recommendations as appropriate.

Evolution and Maintenance of Retail Store Operations Processes/Procedures (20%):
  • Inform the strategy for both short term and long-term store formats, and key new consumer concepts deployed in retail locations. Strategy focused on concept, synergy between business objectives, improvement in outcomes and simplifying store operations to focus on growth through new channels.
  • Lead, guide and develop a team focused on their strategic skills, influence and portfolio management.
  • Develop and periodically update all tools for internal, CSC teams, and field and store teams for successful engagement and deployment on critical timelines to launch new programs or improve execution.
  • Develop and update trainings and communications for successful field and store transformations from engagement to launch and post launch, including modifications needed to KPIs and success metrics.
  • Develop and periodically update staffing requirements by store format, matrices and reporting structures needed to support new formats. Partner with Ops, HR, TA and L&D to ensure clarity and success.
  • Develop success metrics and KPIs for retail store operations in the new format space including updates needed to reporting and/or compensation.
  • Develop and maintain the principal narrative of transformation to drive engagement of existing and future employees of CVS.

  • Leadership: Providing guidance, direction, and support to field and store teams and departments to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of previous work experience
  • 8+ years' experience of developing, implementing and executing programs.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated successful leadership experience in a highly competitive environment. Relevant sectors include retail, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.
  • 8+ years' proven track record of influencing others with and without authority
  • 8+ years' experience building high-performing, successful teams developing key talent. Demonstrated passion for bringing new leaders along and helping them realize their ability to impact the business.
  • 8+ years' experience actively taking on issues in a decisive manner, while keeping broader team dynamics in mind and empowering your leaders to obtain results through building behaviors.

The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.40

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
