This role will be advising a team developing critical applications in the healthcare industry. More specifically, the Technical Lead will be a vital contributor in designing and developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, ownership of complex and crucial project tasks and guiding teams of developers towards successful implementation.Core Responsibilities

- Design and develop world-class cognitive enabled conversation solutions using leading AI technologies
- Define low-level requirements; communicating solution design decisions and implementation details to staff developers.
- Embodying a deep technical expertise and thought leadership that will help accelerate adoption of conversational solutions.
- Acts as lead technical contributor of business requirements to technical specifications.
- Understands product requirements in Agile Features and assists the delivery teams with writing and breaking down Agile Stories and Tasks.
- Oversees daily operations of multiple delivery teams which consists of onshore and offshore team members, and verifies all team members adhere to best-practices, including code reviews, unit testing, data handling (transmission and storage), identify process automation opportunities, etc.
- Identify scope for testing, including performance, security, and accessibility testing.
- With limited direction, supports the implementation of systems into production.
- Identify and escalate issues blocking delivery.
- Responsible for Code Asset Management for an application or set of applications. Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization and identify enterprise-approved libraries and tools to accelerate development.
- Will lead or function as a subject matter expert for the assigned project.
- Ability to lead and support others to develop NodeJS and Java services applications, and share understanding of API interfaces within multiple technical environments and disciplines, which have system wide impact and that integrate across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Effectively partner and navigate cross-functional teams, in a highly matrixed environment, including product owners, designers, and business stakeholders, to drive key initiatives and projects.
- Driving continuous improvement in engineering practices, through automation, performance optimization, and code quality enhancements, including code reviews.
- The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be an initiative-taker, and able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- 7+ years of experience as a Staff Software Development Engineer or similar role, with experience in multiple programming languages: Java, JavaScript, or CSS, Python or HTML, Angular or React or Node.js.
- 5+ years of experience as a Staff Software Development Engineer or similar delivery leadership role, leading engineering teams in developing and testing software projects and working in a high-performance Agile environment.
- 5+ years of experience deploying applications to the cloud, integrated with cloud technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with open-source automation servers with either Jenkins or Octopus, or GitHub.
- 5+ years of experience with API integration tools such as Postman or Swagger or similar tools.
- Experience delivering Enterprise technical product capabilities.
- Experience building conversational AI chatbots using AI, ML and NLP technologies and development patterns.
- Understanding of data security practice and having experience working in a regulatory environment, and able to understand the PCI data governance requirements and technical practices.
- Presentation and public speaking experience to give presentations to software engineers, management teams, and other cross-functional teams.
- Analytical skills to interpret data sets and problem solve complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of IBM Watson and other chatbot development platforms.
Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
