Position Summary

The Staff Software Development Engineer .NET is a position in the Aetna Technology Small Group Sales Quoting and Rating domain with knowledge and proven experience in C#.net technology. In this role you will design, code, test, debug, document, deploy, and support solutions that ultimately support overall success of the domain. The Staff Software Development Engineer .NET will support the design of efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs and required to be hands on with coding.The right candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills in addition to a firm understanding of agile life cycle and methodology. They will also support both the business and technical understanding of the customer experience, back-end technologies/capabilities, and business operations. Responsibilities

  • Establish a clear vision aligned with company values; sets specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivates others to balance customer needs, budgets, and business success.
  • Ability to manage to a timeline in a fast-paced business environment
  • Participate as member of a Scrum team in technical lead and software development role
  • Ideal candidate has experience with Cloud migrations (Red hat, Azure OpenShift Container) and DevSecOps (Github, Jenkins, Urban code deploy, Sona type) adoption
  • Ensure security and performance standards are kept up to date
  • Participate and provides feedback in architecture and design reviews, champions improvements and ensures high fidelity and consistent implementation throughout the product
  • Collaborates very closely with Architects, Business Analyst, Business Stakeholders, Product Owners to ensure the technical delivery of the business goals
  • Perform high and low-level design, provide pseudo codes, and conduct design reviews
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT with an emphasis on .NET, C#, and SQL Server development
  • 2+ years of experience in Creating Angular / React JS UI Applications
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud development experience
  • Experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience in Building APIs and services using REST
  • Experience with Integration with various systems, platforms, and data migration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading technical team
  • Experience in various testing methods, performance, load, stress etc
  • Ability to provide coaching and feedback and serve as a mentor to department employees

  • Extensive knowledge of production stability
  • Experience in DevOps
  • Experience working with remote business and IT partners
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
