The successful candidate will support the security and audit compliance function with-in Aetna Technology. The Senior Manager will have the opportunity to collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and audit colleagues. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Position Description:
  • Oversees various aspects of security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems, including vulnerability management.
  • Identifies and assesses potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organization's technology framework and works to develop action plans that focus on mitigating these risks.
  • Directs groups throughout the identification, and resolution of security vulnerabilities to ensure industry-proven best practices are instilled within the team's strategies.
  • Ensures adherence to industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations by conducting security audits, assessing compliance gaps, and implementing appropriate measures to address any issues.
Position Responsibilities:

Framework Leadership:
  • Coordinates various aspects of the security framework, leading the vulnerability identification and remediation strategic vision and roadmaps,
  • Drive operational excellence, provide enhanced risk visibility and coordination of all related framework activities.
  • Coordinate with security partners to ensure framework aligns with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ensures adherence to industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations by conducting security audits, assessing compliance gaps, and implementing appropriate measures.
  • Implements robust monitoring systems and processes to detect and respond to potential security threats while also keeping up to date with the latest threat intelligence and industry trends to proactively address emerging risks.
Reporting and Documentation: (4-5 years prior experience)
  • Implement robust monitoring and reporting dashboards on vulnerability remediation success rates.
  • Maintain actionable management level reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain policies, standards, and procedures current.
  • Assist with the tracking and reporting of status for assigned initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Implement improvements to the vulnerability management capability based on industry best practices and evolving threats.
  • Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.
  • Develop training programs to keep staff members informed of vulnerability best practices.
  • Lead creation and/or implementation of technical solutions and architecture for building, testing, implementing, and troubleshooting Program solutions of the most complex nature.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of industry best practices, compliance obligations (SOX, PCI, etc.) and internal standards to support compliance, security, and risk management objectives.
Required Qualifications : (6-7 years prior experience)
  • Demonstrates ability to be a quick learner, eagerly wants to learn new things and share their knowledge with others.
  • Demonstrates ability to understand technical problems with an understanding of how systems work and interact, network, servers, desktop, services, and application.
  • Demonstrates understanding of software delivery life cycle (version control, build, deployment) and some of the key concepts, including build once/deploy many, effective testing/troubleshooting, types/differences of programing languages.
General skill set requirements (6-7 years prior experience)

  • Familiar with the company's security control standards
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture
    • Familiarity with infrastructure asset types and terminology
    • Understanding of basic TCP/IP networking principles
    • Basic understanding of operating systems, integrated services, and terminology
    • Basic knowledge of information security vulnerability types and best practice
  • Familiarity with software versioning and upgrade/patching processes
Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field or equivalent experience

(Highschool plus 4 years of relevant work experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
