The Senior Manager, Trade Strategy and Contract Management is a critical member of the Trade Strategy team, which is tasked with leveraging CVS Health's size and scale to create differentiated, one-of-a-kind solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturers that reduce the costs of goods and make pharmaceuticals more accessible for CVS customers, clients, members, and patients across the CVS Health enterprise. This strategic role supports the Director of Trade Strategy, Executive Director of Trade Strategy, VP of Trade Strategy and Operations, and the EVP of Pharmaceutical Contracting and Purchasing in the strategic management of technology products including contracting, to drive value for manufacturer negotiations and other enterprise interactions.

The Senior Manager will lead the development, enhancement, and implementation of new contract management solutions that will integrate with the Trade Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. They will accomplish this by leveraging internal and external sources, including vendors, and collaborating with leaders across Trade. In addition to supporting contract management products, they will develop expertise on manufacturer contracting by readily responding to priority out-of-cycle requests for manufacturer information. They will be responsible for providing strategic intelligence related to manufacturer contracts and value. They will also be utilizing CRM systems like Salesforce, Teams, MS Office and other tools. They will have knowledge of negotiation or contracting processes between large B2B enterprises. Lastly and most importantly, the Senior Manager will be owning deliverables for executive leadership which will require keen attention to detail and strategic thinking - think PowerPoint presentations for VPs and above.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic partnership: Collaborate cross-functionally and across Trade and downstream stakeholders to ensure project success
2. Product management and change management: Leverage various product management techniques (Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, etc.) for managing product development and end-to-end implementation. This includes but is not restricted to managing user stories, process flows, feature prioritization, etc.
3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Product management: Act as product owner and point of contact for leveraging a CLM system for all parties involved. This includes managing software development lifecycles, having owned: development team strategy, process flow creation, requirements gathering, user story creation and refinement, and product testing.
4. Respond to out-of-cycle requests: Respond to ad hoc leadership requests about contracting and manufacturer intelligence. Support Trade business unit with all needed manufacturer expertise
5. Analyze manufacturer information (e.g., contract value, reports, etc.) by leveraging analytic techniques and extract key insights to inform Manufacturer specific strategy

6. Executive presentations: Consolidate intel in the form of high-quality presentations or memos with careful attention to detail

7. Collaborating with contract operations and negotiators related to contract operations

Required Qualifications :

• 7 - 10 Years of experience with Product management and implementation related to contract management or customer relationship management systems

• 5+ years of experience with change management related to technology solutions

• 2+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical or Consulting or related industry which may include but not restricted to negotiations, contracting, contract management, product management, etc.

• Demonstrated strategic mindset and an ability to convert information to strategy, despite ambiguity

• Demonstrated customer orientation and an ability to bring together cross-functional partners to respond to customer needs
• Demonstrated success communicating complex issues and relaying information in an effective manner to senior leadership
• Demonstrated success utilizing written and verbal communications skills to product presentations on a consistent basis

• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is needed.

• Experience with requirement/user story management in tools such as Jira, Rally, etc. is required

• Bachelors degree with 5 - 10 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications :

• MBA or equivalent degree
• Demonstrated experience with contract management in the pharmaceutical sector

• Experience with contracting or negotiations between large B2B enterprises, especially in healthcare

• Demonstrated proficiency in creating high quality executive presentations
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing new products/processes in a cross-functional environment

• Experience with both CRM systems and CLM systems both in a product management role

• Demonstrated success via career progression and increasing responsibilities

• Client facing experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $182,549.40

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
