Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Energy and Utilities Management will lead programs and initiatives that support the organization's day-to-day operations as well as our science-based target for carbon emission reductions. This role has oversight of utilities expense management and field support, energy-related repair and maintenance programs, energy capital upgrade programs, and other energy management initiatives. The role also leads a new energy technology assessment and testing program and supports department sustainability reporting.

The Senior Manager will advance our energy management strategy by leveraging analytics and vendor relationships to drive action and business case development for new workstreams and implement continuous improvements to our existing processes.

The Senior Manager will collaborate across business units to support our internal partners on recurring financial and data-driven processes as well as ad-hoc projects to support their energy management and sustainability goals. They will also work with utility partners to monitor energy market conditions and identify opportunity and risk in rates, energy supply, and incentives/rebates.

The Senior Manager will lead a team of 2+ full time employees and contractors and support their training and development.

Required Qualifications

4+ years program management experience in energy or related field - ESG, EH&S, facilities management, or similar role

2+ years experience leading and developing strong internal and external teams

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with energy management topics - energy efficiency, utility billing and rate structure, renewable energy

Knowledge and experience with commercial building systems - lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, controls

Budget and analytics experience

Vendor management experience

Change management experience in a large organization

Proven skillset - strategic thinking, business case development, excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey messages to senior leaders

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience) required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.40

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
