You will be responsible for overseeing the entire asset lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to tracking and retirement. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of IT asset management best practices.The initial function of this role will be to assist with the implementation of ServiceNow HAM Pro. Applicant should have business analyst and technical writing experience to assist with process documentation, data analysis, testing, etc.The ultimate function of this role is to maintain hardware inventory of IT serialized equipment (computers, tablets, servers, telecom, mainframe, midrange, storage, scanners, etc.). The Hardware Asset Manager will lead a team that manages inventory processes, asset records, and interfaces to ensure data accuracy of assets valuing greater than $1 billion, enabling sound business decisions concerning IT-related purchases and redistribution that result in the best use of existing asset resources and avoidance of unnecessary asset costs.In this role, you will interact with all levels of the IT organization and key business areas to manage the asset inventory in the most cost-effective way including but not limited to Finance, Tax, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Compliance, Global Security, Technology Portfolio Management, IT Renewals, and IT Infrastructure teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement asset management strategies that align with business objectives. Partner with asset discovery team to ensure accurate and comprehensive asset records. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to IT asset management. Perform regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Provide guidance and support to clients on asset management best practices and compliance requirements. Act as a subject matter expert on the ServiceNow platform, staying informed about new features and capabilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset management processes and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate asset management with other IT service management processes. Participate and provide input for Hardware Assessment Management Internal/External audits. Required Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Asset Management Experience - Subject Matter Expert of Hardware Asset Management Practices
  • Understanding of Finance and Procurement (accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, fixed assets, sourcing)
  • Proficient in the use of ServiceNow HamPro
  • Experience with Excel, Visio
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams of 5 or more
  • 3+ years of experience working with internal and/or external audit teams
  • Experience working with major hardware vendors (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.)
  • Hardware Asset Manager certification (CHAMP)
  • Has a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Proficient in Technical Writing
  • Demonstrated ability to use structured problem solving and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, create action plans, assess impact, and develop resolution options.
Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow CMDB and SAMPro Experience

• Certified Software Asset Management certification (CSAM)

• MicroFocus Asset Manager experience

• Reporting experience (MS Access, Power BI, etc.) Education-

Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) BUSINESS OVERVIEW

The typical pay range for this role is:$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
