We're looking for a Sr. Writer to join us at Heart Haus, the internal agency at CVS Health, supporting our Health Plan businesses - Aetna and CVS Caremark.

Reporting to a Creative Group Manager, and working closely with the Associate Creative Director, the Sr. Writer will partner with a team of Art Director's to lead and/or support the writing and ideation for various projects across brand and marketing communications. This individual must have top-notch writing, concepting, and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling and grammar. And have a strong portfolio showing examples for B2B and B2C audiences. Knowledge of video ideation and production is necessary, as is experience across all digital media, with a special emphasis on social. You should have worked in an agency (or in-house agency) that values the power of superior creative, partnership and collaboration. Big brand and health care experience, while not necessary, is a plus. You must have strong presentation skills with the ability to sell your work to the Creative Director and marketing stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ideate and write creative solutions that adhere to the brand vision and brand standards of two Health Plan brands under one roof, juggling multiple projects, partners, and campaigns
  • Bring ideas and creative to life with passion and commitment whether the job is an enterprise-wide campaign or one-off email
  • Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with peers and internal business teams
  • Apply deep and demonstrated experience in writing for a broad range of deliverables that include paid, earned and owned channels, including OLV, display, print, email, DM, and social
This is a hybrid role working onsite 3 days a week out of any of the CVS Hubs

Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years overall experience as a writer
  • 2 years of experience as a Senior Writer (in-house or external agency)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Health care experience
  • Proven track record as a Writer, and a portfolio filled with breakthrough creative samples
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, including knowledge of proper punctuation, spelling and grammar
  • Ability to lead, generate and support impactful creative writing ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to the brand vision and brand standards
  • Ability to understand a marketing brief and translate the input into ideas
  • Must have the ability to sell creative ideas
  • Knowledge of digital, print and video production
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving
  • Must be well-organized and able to communicate ideas and develop strategies
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude, and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Strong written, verbal, conceptual, and presentation skills
  • Technical skills include the Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office and proficient on a Mac; experience with Figma, Miro and Gen AI is helpful
  • Experience working in creative marketing agencies or marketing organizations
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience ( 4 years)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
