As a Senior architect, you will use your experience to design and develop IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. As part of the Digital Enterprise, you will be part of a team responsible for design & development activities associated with enterprise-wide applications for CVS Healthcare Identity Management domain, such as Microservices, Docker/ Containers & CI/CD in cloud native environments, as well as, working with on-premises applications and converting them to the cloud with the latest technology. You will perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specification, assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

In this position you will partner and collaborate with the engineering manager, business analysts, architects, quality assurance, business partners, developers, and project managers to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components. You will also be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.
Provide guidance to architects in designing solutions that meet business requirements, align with architectural standards, and leverage emerging technologies and best practices.
Engage with business users, technology teams, and executive leadership to understand their needs, gathering requirements to ensure alignment between architectural solutions and business objectives.
Participate in architecture reviews, provides recommendations, and oversees the implementation of governance frameworks.
Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to support architectural decisions and provide recommendations for technology adoption.
Encourage knowledge sharing, identify opportunities for enhancing architectural processes and methodologies, and support professional development initiatives for the architectural team.
Write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to product requirements.
Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution.
Participate in SAFe agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning, and help drive the progress and success of digital projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.
Prefer ideal candidate to be in Hartford, CT location, however, may consider other Digital office locations /remote/hybrid model.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of experience dedicated to implementing and integrating technology solutions, spanning data engineering, cloud solutions, system integration, solution design, development/configuration, and deployment
6+ years of experience navigating complex business problems and solution options involving multiple domains and technologies
6+ years of experience effectively communicating solutions and patterns to a geographically diverse workforce, including senior leaders and various resource groups
6+ years of experience with industry-standard architecture principles, design patterns, best practices, and technologies
5+ years of experience in technical roles at an architect or senior engineer level
5+ years of experience specializing in enterprise services that provide top-tier experiences, with a solid emphasis on non-functional requirements
5+ years of experience directly involving design or delivery of systems and ensuring compliance with enterprise standards
Experience with identity management solution for Authentication/Authorization patterns such as OAuth
Solid communication skills including a comfort with leading architectural design meetings
Proven excellent collaboration within the team and to supply chain teams
Quickly creating easily understood system architecture diagrams to communicate designs, workflows, and dependencies
Design principles including SOLID principles and clean architecturePreferred Qualifications

The typical pay range for this role is:$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
