Job Description

Join Fortune 7 CVS Health as a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Pharmacy Automation team. This position will be reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Pharmacy Automation. The Senior Software Development Engineer role is a highly visible role within the Long-Term Care team at CVS Health supporting enterprise level, critical services. A sharp focus on cross-platform stability, quality of service, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation is necessary for success. You will have direct contact with our internal operations staff ranging from our user community to management at a senior corporate level.

Responsibilities
  • As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Long-Term Care organization, you will provide multi-discipline support and direction to resolve complex issues and recommend solutions to ensure the continued operation of Long-Term Care automation systems in the retail organization
  • This position will also serve as a mentor role to others within the Pharmacy Automation team providing direction on more complex issues and help to guide the team be successful
  • Assist in guiding the team to resolve vulnerabilities and technical issues
  • As Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work directly with the Senior Manager and Director(s) in reviewing resolved issues to identify trends being reported and make recommendations for system enhancements
  • Review current system monitoring and logs to identify areas of improvement and/or enhancements to our monitoring capabilities
  • Track and manage work from time of assignment to completion, while maintaining deadlines established
  • Interface with business management and technical staff
  • Interface with a multitude of external vendors and customizing vendor-based automation solutions into the LTC pharmacy floor
  • Anticipate business opportunities and changes and drive long-term strategies while maintaining a focus on short-term objectives
  • Exhibit proven customer and management communication skills, relationship development, and end-to-end experience
  • Ability to aid and provide direction to our internal/external customers as needed
  • Must have technical proficiency in querying databases effectively
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in an Engineering/IT/Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of experience working with automation systems
  • 5+ years of experience working with IT systems and manipulating large data sets to obtain information.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting automation issues to resolve customer issues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred knowledge in data driven automation systems
  • Experience in the healthcare or retail pharmacy industry
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $166,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
