You will be responsible for the design integrity of marketing and creative projects and programs through strategic direction, development of cohesive creative concepts, and seamless execution.You will ensure all creative deliverables are consistent with the client's design quality and consistency standards. You will successfully deliver on a range of creative services, including but not limited to print, digital, web, and video assets. You will manage daily functions of the design team, ensuring the implementation of operational, staffing, organizational, and professional development best practices. You will inspire innovative, thoughtful, tactical, and strategic-level thinking across the team.You will create and promote a culture that values talent, collaboration, autonomy, and accountability, where every creative contributor strives to elevate these standards. You will serve as a strategic and trusted partner to the account management, writing and client teams, as well as a key member of the department leadership team.You will drive internal creative team processes and requirements, ensuring the right talent, tools and systems are in place to position the creative team for success. You will exhibit outstanding creative judgment and guide the team in achieving the highest possible creative standards for all materials, regardless of medium. You must have strong knowledge of the client's business, style, and consistency standards.Fundamental Job Components

  • Manage and oversee the performance, development, and well-being of design team members, including tasks such as hiring, training, and ongoing feedback.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the health insurance industry, client's health benefits products, audiences, and business objectives, and execute on creative that aligns with the client's vision.
  • Ensure successful execution of all design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet the required quality standards.
  • Act as a top-level creative specialist, effectively managing relationships with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of design objectives and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Establish and implement programs and innovative initiatives for the organization to advance Creative and Design initiatives.
  • Execute the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies by implementing best practices and promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Approve design standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables.
  • Develop user-centered designs, ensuring that the products and services deliver an exceptional user experience.
  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities for operational creative efficiencies and improvements.
  • Set the tone of collaboration and teamwork within the creative team and across the organization; promote a "be of service" mentality to the client and across the internal team.
  • Work harmoniously with others to get a job done and lead the team in a collaborative fashion.
  • Create a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-functional collaboration with other teams such as account management, copywriting, MarTech, operations, and digital teams.
  • Ensure the team is compliant with all branding, operational, legal, and regulatory mandates.
  • Advise leadership on the allocation of resources to support key design initiatives and ensure they align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Build a collective team vision and define creative goals and objectives.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports through formal and informal feedback, including annual performance reviews.
  • Establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively.
  • Find common ground with clients when debating creative or strategic opinions.
  • Provide consistent recognition and credit for team creativity and contributions.
  • Provide strategic creative advice and business insights on best business practices to client and account team management.
Required Qualifications
  • 7 plus years of creative work experience, overseeing design in an external or internal agency.
  • 7 plus years of health benefits insurance marketing and communication expertise.
  • Employee benefits knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to analyze deliverable metrics for use in continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye for design aesthetics.
  • Skilled in usability and accessibility best practices
  • Strong expertise with email marketing and designs.
  • Strong detail orientation with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Superior knowledge of all print, digital, video, and web standards and requirements.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Figma and Adobe After Effects, Premiere, and Animate are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of presentation-layer code, including HTML(5) and CSS.
  • Ability to build motion graphics.
  • Experience in conceptual design, user interface design, responsive design, and user-centered design.
  • Experience working in project management tools (preferably Workfront)
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to successfully take digital projects through their full life cycle - from concept to launch.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $182,549.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
