Provides strategic leadership for the digital engineering function, overseeing a team of engineers to develop and implement technical strategies and roadmaps. Ensures seamless project execution while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Works closely with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business objectives, drive continuous improvement, and enhance the organization's digital engineering capabilities through resource optimization and technical excellence.What you will do
  • Oversees digital engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Shapes long-term plans, technology adoption strategies, and innovation initiatives to drive digital transformation.
  • Provides technical leadership, guiding the team in best practices, optimizing development processes, and resolving technical challenges.
  • Partners with senior leadership to define and execute the digital engineering strategy and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
  • Contributes to solution design and architecture, collaborating with product teams, architects, and senior engineers.
  • Engages with key stakeholders-including business leaders, clients, and partners-to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and align priorities.
  • Establishes and enforces quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-performing, reliable digital solutions.
  • Champions continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement, refining processes, and optimizing development workflows.
  • Leads one to two teams of digital engineers, providing mentorship, fostering professional growth, and ensuring team effectiveness.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience managing engineers
  • 4+ years server development experience
  • 3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript or Javascript
  • 2+ years of Cloud Experience; preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • 2+ years of experience with domain driven design (DDD) and microservice architectures
  • 5+ years experience delivering or guiding complex solutions, regarding data setup or architecture, in either an IC and/or management role
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong execution and delivery skills, including strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Proven ability to navigate organizational dynamics and cultivate impactful technical and business partnerships, both internally and externally.
  • Expertise in team strategy, fostering a sustainable team culture while optimizing delivery and performance.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, driving effective solutions in complex environments.
  • Deep proficiency in mentorship and professional development, empowering team members to grow and succeed.
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$118,450.00 - $236,900.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
