Position Summary
As a Senior Analyst, Business Analytics you will be part of the MAPD Support Team, driving Medicare business and system initiatives that focus on streamlining billing and recon related processes and data. In this role, you will contribute to system projects and initiatives with emphasis on data exchanges, technical enablement, data acquisition, and implementations of data ingest and egress pipelines. Furthermore, this role will require collaboration and coordination among Information Technology (IT) teams, Premium Billing and Reconciliation Department leadership and teams, and other business partners, driving towards strategic direction and objectives.

Plans and monitors internal projects from initiation through completion, ensuring on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. Designs cross-functional solutions to address business problems.
Examines the needs and develops visualizations that support their decision-making process. Creates reports, reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner. Analyzes trends and patterns to identify areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and opportunities for growth. Uses statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modeling to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data. Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to derive meaningful insights that drive business decision-making.
Explores innovative tools and approaches to improve data analysis and drive continuous improvement within the organization. Seeks opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge through training and certifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborates with internal and vendor partners to identify and understand data and information needs.
- Establishes processes and infrastructure to capture and house data from relevant sources.
- Ensures data consistency across reporting media.
- Makes extensive use of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL requiring advanced skills.
- Writes code and queries using languages such as SQL to capture, clean, consolidate, store, access, audit, visualize, trend and report on Supports Medicare, Premium Billing and Reconciliation Department.
- Creates new reporting, envisions, codes, and implements data and report automation tools and processes to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyzes performance and provides summary reports and trending.
- Identifies and escalates data accuracy concerns for partners to address.
- Contributes to ad hoc special projects.
- Supports significant system and product initiatives and cultivates relationships with internal and external constituencies.
- Identify gaps in processes or technology and challenges self to develop and implement solutions.
- Drive change to improve systems/quality/services (for example policies, processes, or systems).
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external partners (vendors and consultants) to review and evaluate existing and new systems or tools.
- Responsible for the effective delivery of products and processes to internal customers.
- Seeks continuous improvement for the tools, processes and systems utilized by the department to enhance delivery and outcomes.
- Assists with day-to-day business initiatives to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Adheres to compliance guidelines, and ensures high-performance standards are upheld.
- 2+ years of experience with data interpretation/analysis and strategic planning
- Strong Knowledge with VBA, T-SQL and PL/SQL.
- Beginner with Batch, PowerShell, and Python.
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork
- Proven track record managing projects and/or programs.
- Self-motivated
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organization skills and excellent verbal/written communications skills
- Experience with Facets, Fazel, PeopleSafe, Compass, EMA, Market Prominence and/or GPS, a plus.
- 1 - 3 years working with Medicare
- 1 - 3 years of coding experience
- Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.
- Adept at business intelligence

Education
Associate degree or equivalent experience (3 years) related to technology, systems, coding languages and processes, including project consultation preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$46,988.00 - $102,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
