This role is expected to work directly with the FP&A leader to lead the development of the annual operating budget and reforecasting cycles, build reporting packages designed to communicate result drivers and influence decision making, maintain comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business process and provide finance expertise to business leaders.Responsibilities include:

  • Lead role in budget and reforecasting cycles for Aetna's > $3B Senior Supplemental business.
  • Report on financial performance. Create monthly financial reports including details and commentary on key drivers of performance. Review with finance and business leadership.
  • Develop in-depth analytics. Develop and maintain a suite of detailed reports designed to track performance / trends and influence decision making.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas including Actuarial and Sales. Partner with sales to understand competitive positioning and develop sales/membership expectations to be used for reforecasting cycles. Work closely with actuarial on month-end valuation, rate recommendations and product launches to understand implications for current and future financial performance.
  • Provide financial expertise on strategic initiatives. Work as a key contributor on a business development initiatives by providing financial modelling, key assumptions and financial recommendations to leadership / project teams.
  • Display strong communication and presentation skills
  • Design and execute on process improvements
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of progressive finance, healthcare or other aligned experience
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, PPT etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial reporting - turning voluminous data into meaningful and actionable information
  • Skilled in critical thinking / problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Medicare Supplement and/or other long duration products
  • Knowledge of Long Duration accounting guidance (LDTI)
  • Skills in SQL
  • Skills in SAS
  • Skills in Microsoft access
Skills in Oracle/Hyperion/S4 Financial systemsThis role is not able to support VisaPay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$54,300.00 - $119,340.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
