This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities.The Summer 2025 program will run June 2nd - August 8th, 2025. Virtual onboarding activities will also take place May 28th -30th, 2025.This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in Hartford, CT . The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.The hourly rate is $25 per hour with 40 hours/ week, no work on July 4th (company holiday). CVS Health's Legal Department is seeking a Summer 2025 1L/2L intern to support the Legal Department. This is a paid internship and the program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include research and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, preparing for and attending client meetings with in-house counsel.We work closely with our business partners and outside resources, where necessary, to obtain the appropriate resolution of legal matters.

In compliance with our Code of Conduct and our legal and regulatory obligations, we help the company exercise sound judgment and meet its business objectives in a manner that complies with applicable law.You will gain valuable work experience and participate in:

  • Interaction with senior leaders in various business units
Examples of past internship projects include:
  • Researching statutes, regulations and case law on federal, state and local levels
  • Preparing memoranda and presentation materials regarding outcomes of legal research and case summaries
  • Benchmarking across peers in our various industries for disclosure, corporate governance, and other legal best practices
  • Reviewing and proposing edits to company policies and procedures based on changes in law and benchmarking results
  • Preparing training materials for colleagues
  • Presenting legal findings to other members of the legal team
Sponsorship

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. Required Qualifications
  • Meet educational requirements (see education section).

  • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until completed

Education

Enrolled in an ABA accredited law school pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree and 1L/2L year completed by June 2025

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $31.30Whether in our pharmacies or through our health service offerings, we are pioneering a bold new approach to total health care.
