CVS Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Director of Gross Margin Accounting to support the Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness Segment (PCW). This role is responsible for leading an accounting team responsible for key strategic areas like evaluating revenue recognition, implementation of new financial systems and controls and effectively communicating complex concepts, analysis and results to multiple leaders.Key Responsibilities:

- Manage, supervise, and mentor a team consisting of Sr. Manager, Manager(s), Senior(s), and Staff positions
- Work closely with business leaders, finance partners and cross-functional stakeholder to drive business results
- Central point of contact for existing and new intercompany with PCW. Manage journal entries, inter-segment communications "handshakes", reporting and coordinate segment signoffs with the Controller
- Responsible for accounting for pharmacy reimbursement guarantees and partnering with business teams on results.
- Revenue recognition adjustments, lead project to update systems to reflect sale at the time of script pickup. Scope includes new financial feeds into a variety of downstream systems and establishing a new reconciliation process for the waiting bin
- Align department resources with enterprise strategies of the organization, including coordinating accounting and consolidations for new business ventures related to co-manufacturing entity
- Perform financial analysis and supporting calculations for accounting entries mining data from Pharmacy systems referencing sales/adjudication data, collection patterns, operational activities driving financial statements
- Oversight to ensure SOX compliance
- Ability to identify and analyze emerging trends and their application to the business
- Responsible for analyzing vendor and customer agreements to assess financial impacts and establish proper accounting processes and controls.
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Evaluate, understand, and prepare formal documentation surrounding complex transactions consistent with Accounting Standards ASC 606 - Revenue from Contracts with Customers, ASC 326 Measurement of Credit Losses on Financial Statements (CECL Model) and ASC 705 - Consideration from a Vendor
- Propose journal entries and accounting procedures regarding complex transactions and aid support staff in their understanding of these transactions
- Evaluate and propose process improvement and efficiency opportunities
- Other duties/special projects which may be assigned by the Executive Directors, Vice President, Senior Vice President
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
10+ years of experience in a Public/Corporate Accounting positionPreferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Masters Degree or MBA

The typical pay range for this role is:$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
