The Inventory Planning, Efficiency and Waste Reduction Manager of Analytics will focus on the analytics supporting the development and execution of data-driven strategies to improve business performance, specifically, but not limited to inventory damages, expiration and disposition. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for delivering insights that support multi-year plans to maintain sales and margin growth while reducing waste. This role will partner closely with various teams to identify opportunities, and lead the development of customized, data-driven approaches that relay complex analytics and conclusions in a way that is easy to understand.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build forecasts and enhance methodologies that accurately project disposition volume, write-off volume and expenses relative to tactics deployed by the Efficiency and Waste Reduction team and partners.
  • Provide team and partners with forecasting best practices and SOPs targeted towards specific inventory scenarios
  • Create models that help highlight impact of business changes and monitor the effectiveness of mitigation efforts in support of business changes.
  • Spearhead collaboration efforts with other team members and departments to develop analytic models, methodologies, reports and insights
  • Data mine large datasets across various databases (e.g. Oracle, Teradata) and perform root-cause diagnostics to identify opportunities that improve our inventory health
  • Build customized reports to monitor various financial, execution and operational performance
  • Develop and assist with coding logic in SQL, Excel.
  • Advance the teams analytical capabilities, root cause diagnostic framework and SQL coding skills.
  • Measurement and development of KPI's and success metrics to track performance of initiatives.
  • Monitor business performance and diagnose opportunities.
  • Supports $20+ billion in sales, $5 billion in inventory.

  • Ability to conceptualize complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel and other tools/platforms (e.g., SQL, Tableau)

Required Qualifications
  • 3 years in Analytics, Supply Chain, Sales and Operations planning, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning or similar experience, Merchandising, and/or Strategy
  • 1+ years of experience in data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience writing scalable, production level code
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good judgment and decision-making ability
  • Experience with corporate finance/ building ROI models
  • Experience with technical tools, such as: SQL Assistant, TOAD, Python, Tableau, SAP, Oracle
  • Understand the impact and value of machine learning and optimization model in the Clinical Recruitment Platform and product offering and come up with innovative ways to expand current functionality
  • Operate in a complex, cross-functional organization or company where your teams need to collaborate and integrate with other business and IT teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of inter-relationships between inventory planning, category management, and finance
  • Experience building inventory and replenishment models, incorporating multiple variables, for use in estimating downstream impacts of various business changes
  • Experience in Writing/relaying detailed business requirements for IT updates/builds
  • Merchandise familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes.
Education

Four-year college degree or equivalent experience; Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and/or other quantitative analytical degree a plus Anticipated Weekly Hours

The typical pay range for this role is:$66,330.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
