  • Responsibility for leading a team that establishes relationships with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers, lowers the acquisition costs of specialty products, and gains access to limited distribution specialty products for CVS Specialty.
  • Responsibility for collaborating internally to develop, maintain and ensure effective relationships among key internal stakeholders, enterprise-wide alignment of Specialty Trade and the overall CVS Trade organization.
  • Playing a leadership role for CVS Health - in Specialty Trade specifically.
  • Responsibility for working with Specialty leadership team by formulating and executing against key strategies, including lowering acquisition costs, developing, and implementing services programs, and gaining access to limited distribution specialty products including in rare disease and oncology spaces.
  • Representing the Specialty Trade team for specific internal leadership initiatives. Acting as a liaison between Operations, Specialty Clinical, Account Management & Data Reporting teams, and other key internal stakeholders to continually represent Specialty Trade team and internally align strategies and goals.
  • Responsibility for leading and developing a high performing team of Specialty Directors (negotiators) and ensuring CVS Specialty Pharmacy remains an innovative leader and 'best in class' in the specialty pharmacy space.
  • Responsibility for working with RFP team that responds to manufacturer RFPs ensuring effective responses to contribute to lowering acquisition costs and gaining access to specialty products.
  • Supporting CVS Health in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive consumer-centric workforce that delivers on our purpose and reflects the communities in which we work, live, and serve.
Required Qualifications

The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This position offers broad exposure to all aspects of the company's business, as well as significant interaction with all the business leaders. The candidate will be expected to have the following key attributes:
  • 10+ years of work experience within Specialty Pharmacy or healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.
  • 10+ years of Industry Relations/Specialty Pharmacy experience required.
  • 5+ years of management experience with broad range of various responsibilities.
  • Business development, negotiation and contracting skills with pharmaceutical manufacturers and experience within specialty pharmacy.
  • Strong industry specific knowledge, including demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic principles.
  • Sense of urgency and drive for results.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, and creativity to develop new specialty products and initiatives to gain value from pharma.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functions within a matrix environment, strong collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Assertive follow-up skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle several projects, contracts, and internal meetings at one time and continually prioritize based on Trade value.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, internal and externally.
  • Ability to handle manufacturer relationships and continually handle high level of contract and negotiation activity.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $303,195.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
