And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position Summary:The Executive Director of Social Media and Engagement will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall business goals as well as co-owning a holistic Retail content strategy alongside a Marketing strategy peer. As we look to engage and inspire core audience cohorts, content is at the heart of it all - from basic articles that help to drive SEO traffic and authority to engaging videos on You Tube to build credibility and trust - and requires a comprehensive strategy to unite the ecosystem. Within CVS, the social channel serves as a full-funnel platform, building brand equity through compelling content and storytelling as well as driving tangible business results through the direct support of performance-oriented efforts.The Executive Director of Social Media and Engagement will orchestrate large-scale 'full-funnel' social media programs anchored in trend data, customer insights, business goals, and managed and optimized with rigorous analytics. You will conduct in-depth analysis of the customer audiences, competitive landscape, and social trends to identify where CVS has a right to play and right to win and evolve the practice to help drive brand differentiation.You will be co-responsible for the development and expansion of a content strategy, in partnership with Marketing Strategy, that produces engaging high-quality content to be distributed across social platforms and within other paid and owned channels. You will be a key contributor to the development of a 'content engine,' working alongside the internal creative team to develop an agile capability around content creation. You will expand and evolve an influencer strategy as well as partner with marketing and media team colleagues in the development and activation of a pure You Tube strategy. You will partner with Corporate Communications in support of brand reputation efforts as well as ideating and executing large-scale social activations (e.g. 'tentpole' campaigns, corporate sponsorships).You will utilize advanced analytical thinking, leverage existing data sources, and unearth insights to drive overall content and social strategy for the organization. You will democratize social insights and trend data to help fuel business intelligence. You will continuously evaluate social marketing strategies to unlock opportunities, identify and communicate trends, and be a strategic and trusted advisor for marketing partners, analytics partners, internal media colleagues, and external agency partners.The Executive Director of Social Media and Engagement will need to influence senior stakeholders in the organization and continue to grow the value of content and social media. You will work directly with the Marketing Strategists across business units to support the broader growth agenda. You will also lead and work directly with an agency partner (team of 5+), seven internal social media professionals and two content team members to drive the creation and execution of strategies. You will develop measurement plans for campaigns, ensuring that every investment is accountable, and every test is measurable. You will build relationships with essential business owners and marketing partners to understand their goals and provide strategic recommendations as to how content and social media can help achieve those goals. Additionally, as this leadership role is within the CVS Health Enterprise Media practice, the leader will be responsible for engaging across the Enterprise (Retail, Aetna, Caremark, Corp Comm) to provide strategic leadership and support.This position will work directly with the VP of Enterprise Media, business owners, marketing partners, agency partners, media campaign managers, and analytics partners. The Executive Director of Social Media and Engagement must have the ability to oversee the strategic development and execution of integrated and multi-layered social media campaigns that support multiple departments and stakeholders. Campaigns will be omni-channel in nature and have goals to span the full purchase funnel. In addition to excellent analytical and strategic skills, you must possess strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior level stakeholders within the organization. You must be able to manage a cross-functional team comprised of diverse skills and backgrounds and lead them as a highly productive unit. You will develop processes that improve workflow and proactively identify and source new business-driving opportunities. Importantly, you will manage and develop team members into a high-functioning team and develop and nurture relationships with business partners, social platforms, and agency leadership/working teams.

Required Qualifications:
- 12 years + of Social Media (paid, organic, influencer) and Content strategy along with analytics experience with an emphasis and history tying 'brand marketing' and 'performance marketing' together
- Deep understanding of major and emerging social media platforms (Meta, Snap, Pinterest, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky)
- Ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
- Ability to impact and influence others
- Understands and comfortable with data and technology that facilitates audience targeting, triggering, and measurement
- Strong communication skills and ability to flex style to match needs of audience
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights and make informed decisions
- Thought leader with innate curiosity and aptitude across digital advertising
- Track record of developing innovative and successful social strategies
- Collaborative spirit and disposition with internal and external constituencies
- Self-starter, independent worker, and problem-solver
- Comfort with both 'leading' and 'doing' and ability to identify which role to play
- Agency experience preferred

- MBA
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED

The typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
