The Executive Director, Mobile apps sits within Digital Engineering and Enterprise solutions and will report to the VP of Engineering. The role provides managerial oversight to mobile app engineers building great experiences around the CVS SuperApp, Health & enterprise account. - Responsible for leading the design, implementation and maintenance associated with native iOS and Android mobile apps - while continually raising the bar for better solutions. Flutter experience is a plus.
- Experience driving and coordinating complex, cross-functional mobile app initiatives.
- Understanding of source control, build and test automation, and experience managing DevOps/SecOps practices
- Experience with microservices & webservice based API integration
- Drives professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control and instrumenting telemetry
- Leads and collaborates on a cross functional team with design, product, solution architecture, and operations.
- Planning and allocation of resources within defined budgets to ensure budgets and schedules meet our business requirements
- Setting technical direction and ensure alignment with our technology strategy & ensuring leaders are executing on vision and timeline.
- Mentors team members and contributes to building a strong consistent engineering culture. Coaches, provides timely, actionable feedback, and invests time in career development of team members
- Engage as a Subject Matter Expert, staying abreast of and contributing to external industry trends, advancements, and innovations in technical areas of expertise.
- 15+ years of experience in software development and delivery.
- 10+ Years of experience in mobile apps development
- Experience leading multiple teams of 60+ resources
- The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goal.
- Experience in working with modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies.
- Experience in Agile development practices
- Fosters a culture of continuous open feedback within teams and business unit.
- Experience working with distributed teams, working across multiple time zones and geographies.
- Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction.

The typical pay range for this role is:$175,100.00 - $334,750.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
