The Executive Director, Human Resources Business Partner is the strategic HR thought partner for Corporate Affairs supporting the EVP and their executive leadership team. This leader will play a critical role developing and executing talent strategies to attract, develop, and retain an engaged, highly effective workforce. Anticipating organization and talent requirements, they will support organizational design, enhance colleague learning opportunities, growth, and mobility. This leader will be a member of the Corporate Functions leadership team, partnering to articulate and shape culture, with a focus on colleague development, engagement and alignment with enterprise behaviors.Major Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic consulting to business leaders to foster best in class talent solutions, including succession planning, management practices, workforce, engagement, and organizational design effectiveness strategies that enable business goals and colleague development.
  • Build talent bench strength and robust succession planning by consulting on talent selection, onboarding, development, mobility, performance assessment, management, and total rewards supporting talent strategy execution leveraging enterprise and HR COEs and partners.
  • Team with business leaders to organize optimal structure and human capital requirements; evaluate and adjust human capital based on business needs in partnership with Business Leaders.
  • Establish and monitor organization and talent metrics aligned to business strategy to inform and drive improved talent strategy and outcomes. Leverage metrics to align on leadership and talent gaps. Inform progress against people goals and efficacy of the HR model and strategy leveraging data.
  • Collaborate as a thought partner with enterprise and HR COEs to create simplicity with HR solutions and processes. Enable empowered leaders and streamline HR service and support prioritizing colleague experience. Leverage the full suite of HR tools and resources including technology, AI best practices and diverse support models.
  • Lead, mentor and grow a skilled and highly motivated HR team to consistently achieve goals. Drive cadence and routines with leadership team, HR, and key partners to enable talent activities that build organizational capability.
  • Establish best-in-class talent practices providing input and materials for Executive Leadership communications, engagement, and talent reviews. Share best practices and actively collaborate across HR.
  • Travel as needed per business demands.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience and 5+ years previous people management experience.
  • Comprehensive HR functional experience, with deep capabilities in organizational design, talent management, workplace culture and values, and colleague experience.
  • Experience gaining credibility, coaching, influencing and partnering collaboratively with all levels of leaders (C-Suite preferred).
  • Experience identifying business opportunities and translating into comprehensive talent strategies to address needs.
  • Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with multiple and cross-functional partners, coach and develop colleagues at all levels. Experience working within hybrid or complex business and HR structures.
  • Experience with talent trends & benchmarks, gathering data, analyzing issues, identifying core causes and addressing opportunities related to a diverse and dynamic slate of business challenges.
  • Strong organization and planning skills. Critical thinking. Ability to develop, own, and lead effective talent strategies.
  • Project and change management skills to respond to short- and long-term business priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of strategic human resources consulting experience with demonstrated expertise influencing the business strategy and shaping HR strategic direction
  • Demonstrated ability to use HR experience and business knowledge to drive achievement of business goals
  • Demonstrated ability to consult using HR Standards of Practice and/or experience in multiple HR functions
  • Experience consulting on large-scale continuous improvement, transformation and/or productivity initiatives, preferred
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree preferred
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$131,500.00 - $303,195.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.Our people fuel our future.
