The Directed Spend team at CVS is one of the fastest growing business units in the enterprise and is uniquely situated at the center of our retail and healthcare businesses.

In this role, you will be responsible for the in-store manifestation of CVS's Directed Spend programs, including Supplemental Benefits / OTCHS, HSA/FSA, SNAP/EBT and responsible for managing the OTC and Food benefits catalog.

The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and able to excel in a wide variety of areas - including leading vendor negotiations, data synthesizing and analytics, internal/external stakeholder management, and retail assortment strategies. Furthermore, the ideal individual should be self-motivated, demonstrate executive presence, and be able to act as a strategic thought partner to both enterprise leaders and external clients.

In this role, the Senior Manager, Supplemental Benefits and Directed Spend will work cross-functionally with our inventory, supply chain, retail IT, digital product, marketing, CMX, merchandising, and Store Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage vendor relationships, collaborating and negotiating extensively with manufacturers and vendors to ensure brand and product strategies drive sales and profitability, as well as creating assortments and experiences (both physical & digital) that drive trust & trips with our customers for Directed Spend programs
  • Initiate and execute strategic promotional strategies and marketing plans by collaborating internally with CVS partners (e.g., Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design and Store Operations) and supplier partners for Directed Spend programs
  • Own the in-store assortment and merchandising of CVS's Directed Spend programs, including Supplemental Benefits / OTCHS, HSA/FSA, SNAP/EBT
  • Drive sales and margin for the OTC benefit catalog while ensuring CVS benefits offers a best in-class catalog for our clients and their members
  • Work with directed spend ecosystem partners and clients to build short and long term strategies that align with business and enterprise priorities
  • Distill and communicate complex concepts into salient opportunities, influencing across and up through a matrixed organization
  • Forge new partner relationships with key enterprise healthcare stakeholders across strategy, marketing, and operations

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in Retail Category Management, Retail CPG, or Management Consulting / Investment Banking / Private Equity
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis
Preferred Qualifications
  • General Manager experience with strong business acumen and functional understanding across marketing, finance, and operations
  • MBA
Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.40

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
