Experience Designer Job Description Summary: This posting is for a role within the Aetna (health insurance) division of CVS Health.The Digital Experience Designer works closely with a cross-functional team to solve complex business challenges . They are an advocate for users with their foundational knowledge in user-centered design processes .Foundational characteristics of the Experience Designer include empathy, creative problem-solving, comfort with uncertainty, collaboration, iteration, communication skills, excellent technical design skills, and curiosity .This role will work hand-in-hand with other disciplines and stakeholders to scale our digital solutions across multiple platforms and enhance user flows based on research and sound design processes .This role involves hands-on design responsibilities including journey mapping, design research, wire framing, prototyping, alignment to brand standards and UI guidelines, high-fidelity visual design, data visualization and visual hierarchy .   • Collaborate with product, business and technology partners to ensure shared understanding of business and user goals and to ensure that we're solving the right problem, the right way .
  • Work with input from partners and design leads and managers, create user flows and wireframes to validate ideas.
  • Work with our Design System and brand style guide to deliver high quality, polished user interface designs, assets, and specs .
  • Collaborate with others to design and define breakthrough user experiences, drawing inspiration from research, user goals, and competitive/comparative analysis .
  • Create prototypes for usability testing, design user interfaces and visuals for native, responsive web, and/or mobile platforms . Perform some user testing to validate design approach .
  • Partner with content strategists and accessibility/inclusive designers to ensure all work is compliant with our brand, content, and accessibility guidelines .
  • Conduct design reviews and confidently communicate decision-making rationale to team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Coordinate and partner with engineering to handoff designs, provide specifications and QA support through to launch
Required qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in blended UX/UI design
  • 2+ years of experience in Native application design (iOS and Android)
  • 2+ years of Figma experience
  • 2+ years of Miro experience
  • 1 year of experience leading iterative discovery and solution processes to define, design and deliver solutions
  • 2+ years of applied experience in designing based on an enterprise design system
Preferred qualifications
  • Proven experience in driving and delivering design from initial concepts all the way to hand-off and successful launch
  • Easily adapts to change and fully embodies a growth mindset
  • Strong portfolio of work including examples of mobile web, desktop, native app and other digital experiences
  • Ability to align team members around the ideal digital experience and gain support and commitment
  • Experience in designing and delivering work from initial concepts all the way to successful market launches
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web technologies
  • Awareness of how native mobile technical restraints can influence design choices
  • Ability to communicate user needs ( e.g. storytelling, leveraging data) and demonstrate how proposed designs solve those needs to internal team and senior partners
  • Experience working within an agile methodology
  • Understanding of component-based design
  • Experience in UI design including a strong grasp on visual hierarchy, spacing, typography
  • Knowledgeable about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum) and able to collaborate with Accessibility team to arrive at solutions that are inclusive and accessible
  • Proven experience in performing, leveraging , and communicating qualitative and quantitative customer and competitive research
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

The typical pay range for this role is:$64,890.00 - $173,040.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
