As a Data Scientist / Decision Scientist on the Analytics & Behavior Change team, you'll build industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms to help reimagine health care. This position will play a critical role within a cross-functional team, delivering powerful solutions that inform network strategy and design, improve network performance and provider engagement, develop new provider offerings, and enhance consumer experience. You will be part of a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative team, helping solve problems, drive impact, and deliver key insights to our customers by leveraging innovations in data science, machine & deep learning, and predictive modeling techniques. You will derive meaning from data and recommend network configurations deliver access to affordable healthcare.
FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS
- Participating in the development, validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools. Solving moderately complex analytical problems.
- Developing, validating, and executing algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions.
- Exploring, examining, and interpreting large volumes of data in various forms.
- Performing analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve moderately complex business problems, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.
- Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Using data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and support business decisions.
- Creating and evaluating the data needs of assigned projects and assures the integrity of the data.
- Demonstrating good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present information to various audiences.
- Effectively resolving problems and roadblocks as they occur.
- Demonstrating proficiency in several areas of data modeling, machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, data engineering and data visualization.
- Ability to work with large data sets from multiple data sources.
- 2+ years' experience in Data Scientist or Decision Scientist role
- 2+ years' experience in programming in Python using Pandas for data manipulation
- 2+ years' experience writing strong, complex and efficient queries in SQL
- 1+ years' experience working in Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Healthcare industry work experience
- GCP work experience
- Software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Master's degree preferred
The typical pay range for this role is:
$64,890.00 - $173,040.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
