This data engineer position is involved in all facets of data ingest and export for Wellpartner. They are responsible for ensuring that data received from external parties (such as our Covered Entity and Contract Pharmacy partners and drug wholesalers) are successfully ingested and available for processing in our transactional system, while also ensuring that file extracts for external business partners are produced and delivered on the agreed upon schedule. The data engineer should be an expert in T-SQL and SSIS, with a proficiency in C# a bonus. Responsibilities: • Assisting as part of the team who will work with Business Analysts to gather and approve technical requirements with the impact of other related SP kept in high regard. • Apply problem solving skills to analyze data/process problems as raised by external or internal partners, determining whether potential process fixes are necessary. • Identify areas of need in terms of non-adherence to best practice industry standards. • Actively monitor process performance. • Deliver performance-focused development projects resulting from performance monitoring. • Share knowledge of Wellpartner data processes and procedures through creation and maintenance of technical documentation. • Act as a guide who may assist others via a direct interface to production systems for other internal users: executing scripts, applying data fixes where user tools don't exist, etc. • Identify and delegate tasks to collogues on areas where user tools can be enhanced to create additional operational functional. • Designing, building, and instructing others on processes to ingest raw data in disparate EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) formats from more than 1400 external partners: including flat file, Excel, X12, XML, HL7, and JSON. • Ensure data quality through error checking and data validation using T-SQL and SSIS among other tools.

Required Qualifications
• 4 - 7+ years of overall experience in most of the following:
- Experience with SQL/T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Deep understanding of stored procedures, as well as T-SQL queries.
- Knowledge of data relationships, querying / processing data, and designing well-structured data flows.
- Experience monitoring a SQL Server Databases for errors and failed jobs - with the ability to identify the cause, plan, and implement steps to fix the issues.
- Strong experience with performance tuning.
- Healthcare industry experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:$79,310.00 - $173,040.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
