The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our enterprise data catalog . This role will involve defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data catalog, ensuring it meets the needs of our users and aligns with organizational goals. The Product Manager will collaborate closely with data stewards, analysts, and cross-functional teams to drive the development and continuous improvement of the data catalog . Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy for the data catalog, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance objectives .
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps and timelines for data catalog initiatives, setting targets, tracking progress, and ensuring successful delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the data catalog, ensuring it meets user needs and scales effectively as the organization grows.
  • Develop and refine product strategy with a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges, finding and assessing customer problems to reimagine customer-focused solutions.
  • Create and engage in feedback loops to validate priorities and drive experimentation, ensuring that the product evolves based on user input.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the data catalog, ensuring it meets user needs and scales effectively as the organization grows.
  • Present and champion the product vision to focus stakeholders on outcomes, building strong partnerships through transparency and a "show don't tell" approach.
  • Work across teams to remove barriers to collaboration, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared goals.
  • Operate with a Product Team mindset to leverage relationships with Engineering and Design to build holistic solutions that address viability, feasibility, usability, and value risks.
  • Continuously re-examine product strategy and roadmap to uncover creative solutions, integrating a variety of inputs from a broad range of sources.
  • Balance technical debt, foundational capabilities, emerging technology, and operational activities to ensure a sustainable product lifecycle.
  • Prototype, model, or validate technology to understand viability prior to investing or committing to specific solutions.
  • Execute product strategy and extract value throughout the product lifecycle by understanding user experience, business impact, and market factors.
  • Refine product direction and strategy through iterative deployment coupled with observable results, continuously measuring customer and business impact to validate hypotheses and understand outcomes.
  • Prioritize efforts that have the highest business impact in the shortest period, focusing on delivering quality working software that balances valuable, secure, resilient capabilities with time to deployment.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the product development process. This includes articulating product goals, updates, and changes in a manner that resonates with diverse audiences, fostering a shared understanding and alignment on objectives .
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, best practices, and industry standards, particularly in the context of metadata management.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute product development processes, including requirements gathering, prioritization, and compliance with standards.
  • Excellent backlog management skills , with a track record of successfully managing complex product initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging and presenting to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience in data stewardship, either through serving as a data steward, contributing to a stewardship community, or establishing stewardship programs as part of a governance team.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with data catalogs and metadata management processes.

The typical pay range for this role is:$92,700.00 - $185,400.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
