A Senior Analyst who joins the Client Financial Analysis and Optimization (CFAO) team provides financial consultation and pricing support to help CVS Caremark win and retain business. They will also work with the clients and their consultants, along with the CVS Caremark account teams to provide contracted pricing terms under CVS' pricing model, TrueCost.

Analysts working in CVS Caremark's Client Financial Analysis and Optimization Team interact with individuals and teams that are both internal and external to the organization. The breadth of CVS Caremark services presents an opportunity to work with multiple functional areas including sales, clinical, account management, finance, underwriting, and product marketing. Activities of an analyst typically include validating and completing financial modeling, setting pricing terms to meet financial goals, presenting strategic plans that have been formulated with internal partners, creating and checking contract deliverable terms to ensure accuracy to the intended modeling, setting up pricing to operationalize agreed upon pricing with CVS Caremark clients, and presenting recommendations to Sr. Leadership.
An individual who joins this team will develop and/or maintain expert knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace, pharmacy benefits management competitive landscape, and CVS Caremark programs, services and sales goals.
A candidate on this team will perform a variety of client analyses in response to pricing requests such as Request for Proposals (RFP's) or Market Checks. This person then communicates pricing strategy to meet financial goals, including recommendations back to key business leaders and our clients or consultants representing them. The consultative nature of the position means there is potential for a high frequency of client facing activities and meetings. This may include on-site or teleconferenced presentations as an individual or team, and written documents for assigned clients and in support of other clients.
Successful candidates will acquire and maintain a deep understanding of CVS Caremark's business, products, services and support while using critical thinking and effective time management/organization to meet deadlines. As a part of the team, they will have a track record of accurate financial modeling, pricing analysis and business analytics. Using this knowledge and insight, they will provide clients or internal stakeholders with fact-based and data-driven strategic guidance on CVS Caremark solutions that will help meet both client and internal goals.Required Qualifications
• 2 years of overall related experience pertaining to:
• Pricing analysis and/or financial modeling or related experience, preferably in PBM/healthcare; may substitute a Master's level degree (or MBA) for some applicable work experience
• 1 year experience working with a CRM, such as Salesforce;
• Experience in a field such as: finance, mathematics, statistics, sales and marketing research, accounting, economics or other data-driven fieldPreferred Qualifications
• Experience in advanced Microsoft Excel-based modeling
• Proficiency in conducting data analyses/financial modeling with a high level of attention to detail while using adept problem solving and decision-making skills
• Experience in manipulating and analyzing data to draw relevant conclusions
• Ability to work independently with strong organization skills to manage tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
• Presentation capabilities with experience posing complex analytic findings and conclusions to various stakeholders in an easy-to-understand way
• Background in contract, proposal/legal document creation and review
• Occasional travel to client site to participate in client meetings may be requiredEducation
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, accounting, economics or other data related fields preferred. Master's Degree in health-related fields or MBA is preferred. Anticipated Weekly Hours

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $112,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
