And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Job DescriptionCompany: Oak Street HealthTitle: Senior Clinical Informatics SpecialistRole DescriptionThe purpose of a Sr Clinical Informatic Specialist at Oak Street Health is to serve as a coach for medical scribes in order to help provide an exceptional patient experience and maximize provider efficiency.The Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist (Sr. CIS) is a senior medical scribe who serves as a coach for medical scribes in our clinics. Scribes are partnered with a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant to support charting, billing, coding, and EMR navigation in an effort to offer an extraordinary patient experience and maximize provider efficiency. The Sr. CIS is expected to lead, coach, and support a region of scribes, in partnership with the Practice managers (PM), Population Health Directors (PHD), Regional Vice Presidents (RVP), and medical directors (SMD/CMD). - Partner with the regional leadership to support the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of scribes
- Support Oak Street Health initiatives by ensuring clinic scribes are properly trained and executing workflows that drive high-quality patient care and support our care model including but not limited to EMR documentation hygiene, thorough charting, quality metric compliance, and prompting provider to address patient care gaps
- Follow the CIS Evaluation Timeline for each regional CIS including routine shadowing of provider/CIS pairs, patient chart reviews, and assessment of gaps in CIS knowledge, as well as addressing any inconsistencies that arise from evaluations
- Report results of evaluations and reviews to central and regional leaders
- Partner with PHD/RDO/RVP/SMD and/or central support to highlight any trends in team training, execution, or other opportunities for improved workflows, efficiency, or experience
- Organize quarterly scribe events for his/her region to support team building
- Sr. CISs are expected to acquire and demonstrate mastery of content to support their work including but not limited to: coding and billing, EMR navigation, Risk score, clinical guidelines, performance and training of scribes in their region, and morning huddle responsibilities
- Organize and deliver monthly training for the regional CIS team
- Attend various Sr CIS training, hosted by the central leadership team throughout the year
- Other duties as assigned

- US Work Authorization

- ~8+ months of CIS/scribe experience
- Leadership experience and/or natural tendency to lead
- Experience with Project Management and engagement (Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, developing a detailed project plan to track progress, reporting and escalating to management as needed, and creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation).
- Comfortable with ambiguity and have a love for problem-solving

The typical pay range for this role is:$17.00 - $28.46This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
