DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Supervisor to join our team specializing in logistics in Henderson, CO.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Drive Operational Excellence : Lead and improve warehouse operations, including transportation and packaging, to enhance safety, quality, production, and cost efficiency.
  • Foster Communication : Act as a key communicator with customers, suppliers, shop floor staff, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and strong relationships.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and lead the annual operating plan, forecasts, and other key measurements for the Parts Distribution Center, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Enhance Supply Chain Capability : Manage and develop the supply chain team, setting goals for training, development, performance, and career planning to build a high-performing team.
  • Champion Company Values : Promote Cummins values by championing diversity, community involvement, and environmental initiatives within the site.
  • Ensure Operational Stability : Oversee daily operations to maintain a dependable and efficient supply chain, addressing and escalating supply chain failures promptly.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
  • Develop KPIs and Corrective Actions : Analyze operational trends, develop necessary Key Performance Indicators, and create corrective action plans to achieve performance targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Manage Carriers : Support and evaluate carrier performance to ensure timely pickups, transit, and deliveries according to schedule and cost.
  • Select Modes : Evaluate and select the appropriate transportation modes and equipment types to balance cost, quality, and time.
  • Apply Trade Knowledge : Use your understanding of trade regulations to minimize risks and costs in Cummins processes and systems.
  • Utilize Warehouse Operations : Apply warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet metrics for inbound and outbound operations.
  • Manage Projects : Balance scope, schedule, and resources for projects to ensure results are fully realized.
  • Leverage Supply Chain Knowledge : Explain and influence the integration of information, products, and services flow to achieve desired results while balancing inventory, cost, and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related subject required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Moderate level of relevant work experience required.

Additional Information/Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include supporting a team of 15-20 team members (mix of Full Time and Contingent Workers), across two locations - the Denver Master Rebuild Center and the Denver Warehouse both located in Henderson, CO
  • Warehouse scope includes safety of team, warehousing of parts, engine movements, and inventory accuracy
  • Project Work to include small projects to assist the team (Kaizen projects), and larger scale business improvement projects.
  • Directing work and driving the operation to meet business needs - daily meetings with team to set the goal for the day, warehouse metrics, cost reduction metrics.
  • High level of problem solving and work prioritization required in this role.
  • Schedule- M-Th: 6AM-4:30PM with some work on Friday.
  • This role is ONSITE.
