DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Transportation Administrator to join our team specialising in Logistics for our Transportation department in Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK .

This is an initial Temporary 12-month contract.

This role is working rotational shifts in line with operations, including shift premium:

Monday - Friday 07:00am - 15:00pm or 14:00pm - 22:00pm rotating weekly.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Enter data into a database or other computerised system to maintain up-to-date stock/inventory and training records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)
  • Perform other routine administrative activities according to the organisation's established procedures. These activities may include responding to customer escalations, order allocation, part profile & inventory records, preparing reports, training operators, customs compliance processes, domestic and international transportation related procedures and completing forms (receipt, transfer, delivery, dispatch, etc.).
  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.
  • Follows all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures.
  • Raise issues to minimise cost and quality exposures.
  • Communicate effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams
  • Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.
  • To assist in Letter of credit presentations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need experience with the following:

  • Experience in maintaining office systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Some previous office administration experience is desired.
  • Background in logistics is advantageous.
