DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Trainee Production Associate to join our team, with a Development Opportunity specialising in Cylinder Block Machining for our Daventry Engine Plant in Daventry, United Kingdom.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

You will undertake a Level 2 Engineering - Machining course at Northampton College's Booth Lane campus. This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to operate machines and production equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment, before joining us in the plant.

Course Involvement:

  • Machining Techniques: Learn how to operate manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products.
  • Quality Control: Understand and perform quality inspections, manage non-conforming materials, and follow standard work procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Engage in training on health and safety standards, use personal protective equipment, and identify and report hazards.
  • Environmental Impact: Recognize how your work impacts the environment and learn ways to minimise negative effects.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Develop effective communication skills and collaborate with peers and support teams.

Requirements:

  • Age: You must be between 18-23 years old (As per course requirements)
  • Education: 4 GCSEs at grade 3, including Maths and English.
  • Start Date: Begin in August 2025, with full-time college attendance starting in September.
  • Wage: Paid the UK National Living Wage during the course, with an increase upon successful completion.
  • Work During Breaks: Attend work on-site during college term breaks, with the option to take allocated holidays.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement.
