This is temporary role 12-14 months contract.

We are looking for a talented Territory Sales-Inside Sales Representative-Senior to join our Distribution Business Unit in Edmonton or Calgary, AB.

Job Summary:

Provide sales support for Cummins products and/or services throughout the sales cycle. May support more complex customer accounts that require adaptation of response or extensive research. May independently develop and capture opportunities for additional sales.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Convert inbound calls into sales by handling unsolicited prospect calls effectively.
  • Generate new leads through telephone outreach, cold-calling, and other technologies.
  • Drive additional sales by following up with existing customers for repeat business, cross-selling, and up-selling.
  • Conduct negotiations in line with company guidelines to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by using the Cummins Sales Process and executing the sales cycle from lead to sale.
  • Support the salesforce by managing quotations/RFPs and other sales cycle operations.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships to generate loyalty and future sales.
  • Utilize Cummins tools and processes to maintain accurate sales entry, reporting, and forecasting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Effective Communication : Developing and delivering communications that cater to different audiences' needs.
  • Customer Focus : Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Persuasion : Using compelling arguments to gain support and commitment from others.
  • Planning and Alignment : Prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Articulating Value Proposition : Explaining and demonstrating products to meet customer needs and differentiate from competition.
  • Channel Awareness : Understanding industry structure and dynamics to advance organizational goals.
  • Pricing Strategy : Developing prices by aligning with key stakeholders to achieve business targets.
  • Account Planning : Identifying objectives to drive execution of business and account strategy. Education, Licenses, Certifications: University or college degree in the field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Prior experience required. Experience as a quote analyst or another sales support function desirable. Limited travel may be required. Experience with customer relationship management software desirable. Experience with other software-based sales and business tools desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Provide internal sales support to assigned Account Executives from time of engine order to customer delivery.
  • Provide replacement engine quotes directly to our customers in a timely manner, providing top level customer service
  • Hybrid role - remote / in office as needed.
  • This is a hybrid and temporary (12-14 months) role.
