DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Sales Account Executive to join our team specializing in Sales for our Service Operations Department in Lagos, Nigeria.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Prospecting and Developing Opportunities: You'll identify and reach out to potential customers, creating new business opportunities and expanding the company's market presence.
  • Executing Account Plans: With coaching support, you'll develop and implement strategic account plans for top prospects, ensuring effective face-to-face sales calls.
  • Building Customer Relationships: By understanding customer needs and business models, you'll build strong relationships that facilitate identifying and offering tailored Cummins solutions.
  • Negotiating and Closing Deals: You'll conduct negotiations within company guidelines, securing agreements that highlight the value of Cummins solutions and ensuring favorable payment terms.
  • Managing Accounts Receivables: You'll assist in collecting accounts receivables and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve any delinquent payments, maintaining acceptable levels of past due accounts.
  • Driving Sales and Achieving Targets: Your efforts will directly contribute to meeting and exceeding sales goals, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Utilizing Sales Tools and Processes: You'll consistently use the Cummins Sales Process and tools like Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to support sales activities, customer satisfaction, and value creation.
  • Balancing Inventory and Delivery: Working with internal stakeholders, you'll help balance inventory, service, and delivery capabilities with customer expectations, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Sales Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience is essential, with technical sales experience being a valuable advantage.
  • Account Planning Skills: Ability to identify objectives and drive execution of business/account strategies, tracking progress against targets.
  • Adaptability: Skill in explaining complex topics to various audiences, ensuring they understand, retain, and use the information effectively.
  • Customer Perspective Integration: Understanding customers' perspectives to develop sales content that meets their needs and increases revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
