Workshop Electrician - Rail Power Generation

Laverton - $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS!

We are looking for a talented Workshop Electrician to join our Rail Team in Laverton. This role will see you as part of a team of technicians specialising in repairing and maintaining high horsepower and mid-range Rail applications.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Load testing of overhauled/repaired generators
  • Working on generator sets and engine control panels
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators
  • Modifying wiring looms/diagrams
  • Working closely with the Mechanical Service team
  • Completing all work with a high focus on safety
  • Assists Level III Technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans on engines in the workshop

  • Be a trade qualified electrician
  • Hold a current Electrical License and/or Electrical contractor's license
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience working with power generation products High Voltage/Low Voltage practical experience
  • Previous industrial experience in an industrial factory as a senior or sole electrician
  • An in depth understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong PC skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driver's license
Compensation and Benefits
  • Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm - Early Finish!
