DESCRIPTION

Develop and deliver technical talent in a research, technology, or electrical product development environment. Troubleshoot diagnostic problems and provide resolution leadership for complex electrical systems with a high degree of ambiguity and global business impact, and lead the development and improvement of work processes and electrical system across functions within a global business unit. Apply knowledge of emission reduction technologies and components to Manage the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using 7 Step Problem Solving Process and Fault Tree Analysis to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events. Plan and monitor project budget and conduct research and analysis while also providing input into the design and development of project plans and timelines. Use complex methods and System Requirements Engineering to translate stakeholder needs into verifiable requirements to which electrical designs are developed, and establish acceptance criteria for the system of interest through detailed analysis, allocation and negotiation. Apply advanced knowledge of emission reduction technologies, components, controls and control strategies to system designs, while adhering to global regulation requirements around emission reduction devices and components. Identify system capability and risks through analysis or experimental testing of the system, sub-system, or super system in the context of its environment. Assess the impact of changes to system requirements on project scope, schedule, and resources, and create and maintain information linkages to related artifacts. Identify and assign appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks while also guiding and coaching team members through various stages of the project. Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute the activities involved in developing electrical products to a respectively aligned hierarchy of requirements and technical profiles using experience with Product Development Execution, Monitoring and Control. Monitor and communicate across functional boundaries to meet project resource and quality expectations. Manage a list of project deliverables using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required to complete the project successfully. Establish and maintain the balanced triangle of Scope, Schedule and Resources for complex engineering projects. Document engineering-related information based on knowledge gained as part of technical electrical function activities, and communicate to stakeholders with the goal of enabling improved technical productivity and effective knowledge transfer to others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Positions require a Master's degree Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as an Electronic, Controls, or Systems Engineer, or related position. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and 6 years of experience as an Electronic, Controls, or Systems Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Troubleshoot diagnostic problems; 7 Step Problem Solving Process and Fault Tree Analysis; Design and development of project plans and timelines; System Requirements Engineering; Emission reduction technologies, components, controls, and control strategies; Global regulation requirements of emission reduction devices and components; System Capability Engineering; Product Development Execution, Monitoring and Control; Project Management tools and processes; Technical Documentation.
