DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare data related to GST returns for the business unit and submit to India Tax teams before the due date for consolidation and filing of returns.
  • Conduct monthly GST reconciliation on PTD & YTD basis of GST recovery, GST Liability & Sales GL.
  • Reconcile input tax credit availed with GSTR-2A & GSTR-2B monthly.
  • Avail input tax credit and maintain backup documents such as invoices, Debit Notes, BOE, etc.
  • Maintain proper records as prescribed under GST law.
  • Support GST assessments and visits to government departments.
  • Coordinate with SCM, Sales & Marketing, and IT related to routine business activities.
  • Work with the warranty service team to track documents for availing credit on invoices received from customers.
  • Participate actively in the implementation of GST controls.
  • Manage job work tracker, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Maintain trackers related to shipping bills, BRC, pending documents, payments to suppliers pending above 180 days, etc.
  • Collate details for filing various GST refund claims.
  • Prepare submissions to tax notices.
  • Coordinate with various internal stakeholders for making submissions, filing tax returns, and other activities relating to tax compliance.
  • Analyze new transactions for the site to ensure compliance with GST laws.
  • Assist in setting up tax processes.
  • Assist in tax automation projects.
  • Maintain internal controls in tax processes.
  • Handle GST/Service tax and other state litigations.
  • Ensure monthly closing as per timeline.
  • Ensure GL reconciliation and handle audits, including statutory or otherwise.
  • Ensure timely payment and compliance with GST laws.

Experience:

  • Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.

Competencies:

  • Financial Regulations Acumen: Evaluate applicable regulations for the financial area of focus to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Tax Based Modeling and Computation: Perform income tax provision computations, tax return calculations, and tax modeling.
  • Tax Technical Analysis: Leverage various tax technical resources by researching applicable regulations, tax code, and case law.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting required.
