DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision and in accordance with Cummins Delegation of Authority Policy, the Supply Chain Coordinator utilizes statistical analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and validated planning parameters to optimize inventory levels. The role focuses on aligning the supply plan with the demand plan and driving stability in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

Reports any work-related injury, illness, or hazard. Complies with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations. Engages in HSE training as required.

Quality:

Follows applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures. Conducts quality checks on system planning parameters, including minimum/maximum inventory levels and re-order points, ensuring adherence to Plan for Every Part (PFEP).

Delivery:

Performs supply and demand analysis, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months. Assists in gathering information through research. Runs simulations for planning parameter adjustments and provides reports on the impact to KPIs. Monitors signals indicating abnormal demand or stock levels, making approved adjustments to align the supply and demand plans.

Teamwork:

Communicates effectively within the team and with cross-functional groups. Engages in personal development and training aligned with business needs. Participates in improvement projects related to quality, safety, and process flow.

  • Inventory Management and Optimization: Uses analytics and algorithms to optimize inventory investment across the supply chain.
  • Materials KPI Management: Assesses and interprets supply chain KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Network Master Supply Planning: Utilizes statistical analysis and collaboration to align supply and demand, optimizing supply chain performance.
  • Values Differences: Recognizes the value of diverse perspectives and cultures within the organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or regulations.

Experience:

5-7 years of relevant work experience in materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control. Specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience are preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills for external:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management with supply chain domain knowledge
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work an afternoon shift (12:30 pm to 9:30 pm IST).

Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days' work-from-home).
